1. About This Policy
PropTime ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect your personal information when you use the PropTime platform at proptime.com.au (the "Platform").
By using the Platform you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. What Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
Account Information: When you create an account we collect your email address and any profile information you provide.
Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the Platform including which features you access, searches you perform, calculations you run and pages you visit.
Payment Information: When you purchase a subscription or Buyer's Pass we collect payment information through our payment processor Stripe. We do not store your full credit card details — these are handled directly by Stripe.
Communications: If you contact us via the contact form or email we collect the information you provide in that communication.
Technical Data: We automatically collect certain technical information including your IP address, browser type, device type and operating system.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information to:
— Provide and operate the Platform and its features
— Process your payments and manage your subscription
— Send you account-related emails including receipts and subscription notifications
— Send you optional product updates and suburb digest emails (which you can unsubscribe from at any time)
— Respond to your questions and support requests
— Improve and develop the Platform
— Comply with our legal obligations
— Detect and prevent fraud or misuse
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for targeted advertising.
4. How We Share Your Information
We share your information only in the following circumstances:
Service Providers: We use trusted third-party service providers to operate the Platform including Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payment processing), Resend (email delivery) and Vercel (hosting). These providers only access your information as needed to provide their services and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order or government authority.
Business Transfer: If PropTime is acquired or merged with another business your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information is transferred.
We will never sell your personal information to data brokers, advertisers or other third parties.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase infrastructure. We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.
Payment information is processed by Stripe, which is PCI DSS compliant. We do not store full credit card numbers or CVV codes.
While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles you have the right to:
Access: Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal retention obligations).
Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.

8. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform. If you close your account we will delete or anonymise your personal information within 90 days unless we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory reasons.
Payment records may be retained for up to 7 years for tax and accounting purposes.
9. Third Party Links
The Platform may contain links to third party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites and encourage you to read their privacy policies.
10. Children
The Platform is not directed at children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child please contact us immediately.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
12. Complaints
If you have a complaint about how we have handled your personal information please contact us at hello@proptime.com.au. We will investigate your complaint and respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
